ਸਾਹੁਰੜੀ ਵਥੁ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਸਾਝੀ ਪੇਵਕੜੈ ਧਨ ਵਖੇ ॥ साहुरड़ी वथु सभु किछु साझी पेवकड़ै धन वखे ॥ Saahuraṛee vaṫʰ sabʰ kichʰ saajʰee pévkaṛæ ḋʰan vakʰé. In the House of the Husband Lord - in the world hereafter, everything is jointly owned; but in this world - in the house of the soul-bride’s parents, the soul-bride owns them separately. ਬਸੰਤੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੧ ਹਿੰਡੋਲ ॥ बसंतु महला १ हिंडोल ॥ Basanṫ mėhlaa 1 hindol. Basant, First Mehl, Hindol: ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਹਿਬਾ ਹਉ ਆਪੇ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲਾਣੀ ॥ मेरे साहिबा हउ आपे भरमि भुलाणी ॥ Méré saahibaa ha▫o aapé bʰaram bʰulaaṇee. O my Lord and Master, I am deluded by doubt. ਆਪਿ ਕੁਚਜੀ ਦੋਸੁ ਨ ਦੇਊ ਜਾਣਾ ਨਾਹੀ ਰਖੇ ॥੧॥ आपि कुचजी दोसु न देऊ जाणा नाही रखे ॥१॥ Aap kuchjee ḋos na ḋé▫oo jaaṇaa naahee rakʰé. ||1|| She herself is ill-mannered; how can she blame anyone else? She does not know how to take care of these things. ||1|| ਕਢਿ ਕਸੀਦਾ ਪਹਿਰਹਿ ਚੋਲੀ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਮੑ ਜਾਣਹੁ ਨਾਰੀ ॥ कढि कसीदा पहिरहि चोली तां तुम्ह जाणहु नारी ॥ Kadʰ kaseeḋaa pahirahi cholee ṫaaⁿ ṫumĥ jaaṇhu naaree. She alone is known as the Lord’s bride, who embroiders her gown in the Name. ਅਖਰ ਲਿਖੇ ਸੇਈ ਗਾਵਾ ਅਵਰ ਨ ਜਾਣਾ ਬਾਣੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ अखर लिखे सेई गावा अवर न जाणा बाणी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Akʰar likʰé sé▫ee gaavaa avar na jaaṇaa baṇee. ||1|| rahaa▫o. I sing the Word which You have written; I do not know any other Word. ||1||Pause|| ਜੇ ਘਰੁ ਰਾਖਹਿ ਬੁਰਾ ਨ ਚਾਖਹਿ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਕੰਤ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥੨॥ जे घरु राखहि बुरा न चाखहि होवहि कंत पिआरी ॥२॥ Jé gʰar raakʰahi buraa na chaakʰahi hovėh kanṫ pi▫aaree. ||2|| She who preserves and protects the home of her own heart and does not taste of evil, shall be the Beloved of her Husband Lord. ||2|| ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਪੜਿਆ ਪੰਡਿਤੁ ਬੀਨਾ ਦੁਇ ਅਖਰ ਦੁਇ ਨਾਵਾ ॥ जे तूं पड़िआ पंडितु बीना दुइ अखर दुइ नावा ॥ Jé ṫooⁿ paṛi▫aa pandiṫ beenaa ḋu▫é akʰar ḋu▫é naavaa. If you are a learned and wise religious scholar, then make a boat of the letters of the Lord’s Name. ਪ੍ਰਣਵਤਿ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਏਕੁ ਲੰਘਾਏ ਜੇ ਕਰਿ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਵਾਂ ॥੩॥੨॥੧੦॥ प्रणवति नानकु एकु लंघाए जे करि सचि समावां ॥३॥२॥१०॥ Paraṇvaṫ Naanak ék langʰaa▫é jé kar sach samaavaaⁿ. ||3||2||10|| Prays Nanak, the One Lord shall carry you across, if you merge in the True Lord. ||3||2||10||
