ਸਚਾ ਸੇਵੀ ਸਚੁ ਸਾਲਾਹੀ ॥ सचा सेवी सचु सालाही ॥ Sachaa sévee sach saalaahee. Serve the True One, and praise the True One. ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥ माझ महला ३ ॥ Maajʰ mėhlaa 3. Maajh, Third Mehl: ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਸੇਵਨਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਨਿ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥ सुखदाता सेवनि सुखु पाइनि गुरमति मंनि वसावणिआ ॥१॥ Sukʰ▫ḋaaṫa sévan sukʰ paa▫in gurmaṫ man vasaavaṇi▫aa. ||1|| Those who serve the Giver of peace find peace. They enshrine the Guru’s Teachings within their minds. ||1|| ਸਚੈ ਨਾਇ ਦੁਖੁ ਕਬ ਹੀ ਨਾਹੀ ॥ सचै नाइ दुखु कब ही नाही ॥ Sachæ naa▫é ḋukʰ kab hee naahee. With the True Name, pain shall never afflict you. ਹਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਸੁਖ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਧਿ ਲਗਾਵਣਿਆ ॥ हउ वारी जीउ वारी सुख सहजि समाधि लगावणिआ ॥ Ha▫o vaaree jee▫o vaaree sukʰ sahj samaaḋʰ lagaavaṇi▫aa. I am a sacrifice, my soul is a sacrifice, to those who intuitively enter into the peace of Samadhi. ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਸੇ ਸਦਾ ਸੋਹਹਿ ਸੋਭਾ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਸੁਹਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ जो हरि सेवहि से सदा सोहहि सोभा सुरति सुहावणिआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Jo har sévėh sé saḋaa sohėh sobʰaa suraṫ suhaavaṇi▫aa. ||1|| rahaa▫o. Those who serve the Lord are always beautiful. The glory of their intuitive awareness is beautiful. ||1||Pause|| ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਤੇਰਾ ਭਗਤੁ ਕਹਾਏ ॥ सभु को तेरा भगतु कहाए ॥ Sabʰ ko ṫéraa bʰagaṫ kahaa▫é. All call themselves Your devotees, ਸੇਈ ਭਗਤ ਤੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਏ ॥ सेई भगत तेरै मनि भाए ॥ Sé▫ee bʰagaṫ ṫéræ man bʰaa▫é. but they alone are Your devotees, who are pleasing to Your mind. ਸਚੁ ਬਾਣੀ ਤੁਧੈ ਸਾਲਾਹਨਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੨॥ सचु बाणी तुधै सालाहनि रंगि राते भगति करावणिआ ॥२॥ Sach baṇee ṫuḋʰæ saalaahan rang raaṫé bʰagaṫ karaavaṇi▫aa. ||2|| Through the True Word of Your Bani, they praise You; attuned to Your Love, they worship You with devotion. ||2|| ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਸਚੇ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਤੇਰਾ ॥ सभु को सचे हरि जीउ तेरा ॥ Sabʰ ko saché har jee▫o ṫéraa. All are Yours, O Dear True Lord. ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਤਾ ਚੂਕੈ ਫੇਰਾ ॥ गुरमुखि मिलै ता चूकै फेरा ॥ Gurmukʰ milæ ṫaa chookæ féraa. Meeting the Gurmukh, this cycle of reincarnation comes to an end. ਜਾ ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਨਾਇ ਰਚਾਵਹਿ ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਨਾਉ ਜਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੩॥ जा तुधु भावै ता नाइ रचावहि तूं आपे नाउ जपावणिआ ॥३॥ Jaa ṫuḋʰ bʰaavæ ṫaa naa▫é rachaavėh ṫooⁿ aapé naa▫o japaavaṇi▫aa. ||3|| When it pleases Your Will, then we merge in the Name. You Yourself inspire us to chant the Name. ||3|| ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਇਆ ॥ गुरमती हरि मंनि वसाइआ ॥ Gurmaṫee har man vasaa▫i▫aa. Through the Guru’s Teachings, I enshrine the Lord within my mind. ਹਰਖੁ ਸੋਗੁ ਸਭੁ ਮੋਹੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥ हरखु सोगु सभु मोहु गवाइआ ॥ Harakʰ sog sabʰ moh gavaa▫i▫aa. Pleasure and pain, and all emotional attachments are gone. ਇਕਸੁ ਸਿਉ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੀ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੪॥ इकसु सिउ लिव लागी सद ही हरि नामु मंनि वसावणिआ ॥४॥ Ikas si▫o liv laagee saḋ hee har naam man vasaavaṇi▫aa. ||4|| I am lovingly centered on the One Lord forever. I enshrine the Lord’s Name within my mind. ||4|| ਭਗਤ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਤੇਰੈ ਚਾਏ ॥ भगत रंगि राते सदा तेरै चाए ॥ Bʰagaṫ rang raaṫé saḋaa ṫéræ chaa▫é. Your devotees are attuned to Your Love; they are always joyful. ਨਉ ਨਿਧਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸਿਆ ਮਨਿ ਆਏ ॥ नउ निधि नामु वसिआ मनि आए ॥ Na▫o niḋʰ naam vasi▫aa man aa▫é. The nine treasures of the Naam come to dwell within their minds. ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਬਦੇ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੫॥ पूरै भागि सतिगुरु पाइआ सबदे मेलि मिलावणिआ ॥५॥ Pooræ bʰaag saṫgur paa▫i▫aa sabḋé mél milaavaṇi▫aa. ||5|| By perfect destiny, they find the True Guru, and through the Word of the Shabad, they are united in the Lord’s Union. ||5|| ਤੂੰ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ॥ तूं दइआलु सदा सुखदाता ॥ Ṫooⁿ ḋa▫i▫aal saḋaa sukʰ▫ḋaaṫa. You are Merciful, and always the Giver of peace. ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਦੇਵਹਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਡਾਈ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤੇ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੬॥ तूं आपे देवहि नामु वडाई नामि रते सुखु पावणिआ ॥६॥ Ṫooⁿ aapé ḋévėh naam vadaa▫ee naam raṫé sukʰ paavṇi▫aa. ||6|| You Yourself bestow the glorious greatness of the Naam; attuned to the Naam, we find peace. ||6|| ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲਿਹਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਾਤਾ ॥ तूं आपे मेलिहि गुरमुखि जाता ॥ Ṫooⁿ aapé mélėh gurmukʰ jaaṫaa. You Yourself unite us; You are known only to the Gurmukhs. ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਸਾਚੇ ਤੁਧੁ ਸਾਲਾਹੀ ॥ सदा सदा साचे तुधु सालाही ॥ Saḋaa saḋaa saaché ṫuḋʰ saalaahee. Forever and ever, O True Lord, I praise You. ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਾਤਾ ਦੂਜਾ ਕੋ ਨਾਹੀ ॥ गुरमुखि जाता दूजा को नाही ॥ Gurmukʰ jaaṫaa ḋoojaa ko naahee. As Gurmukh, I know no other at all. ਏਕਸੁ ਸਿਉ ਮਨੁ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਏ ਮਨਿ ਮੰਨਿਐ ਮਨਹਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥ एकसु सिउ मनु रहिआ समाए मनि मंनिऐ मनहि मिलावणिआ ॥७॥ Ékas si▫o man rahi▫aa samaa▫é man mani▫æ manėh milaavaṇi▫aa. ||7|| My mind remains immersed in the One Lord; my mind surrenders to Him, and in my mind I meet Him. ||7|| ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੋ ਸਾਲਾਹੇ ॥ गुरमुखि होवै सो सालाहे ॥ Gurmukʰ hovæ so saalaahé. One who becomes Gurmukh, praises the Lord. ਸਾਚੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਵੇਪਰਵਾਹੇ ॥ साचे ठाकुर वेपरवाहे ॥ Saaché tʰaakur véparvaahé. Our True Lord and Master is Carefree. ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੮॥੨੧॥੨੨॥ नानक नामु वसै मन अंतरि गुर सबदी हरि मेलावणिआ ॥८॥२१॥२२॥ Naanak naam vasæ man anṫar gur sabḋee har mélaavaṇi▫aa. ||8||21||22|| O Nanak! The Naam, the Name of the Lord, abides deep within the mind; through the Word of the Guru’s Shabad, we merge with the Lord. ||8||21||22|| ਤੇਰੇ ਭਗਤ ਸੋਹਹਿ ਸਾਚੈ ਦਰਬਾਰੇ ॥ तेरे भगत सोहहि साचै दरबारे ॥ Ṫéré bʰagaṫ sohėh saachæ ḋarbaaré. Your devotees look beautiful in the True Court.
