ਸੋ ਕਤ ਡਰੈ ਜਿ ਖਸਮੁ ਸਮੑਾਰੈ ॥ सो कत डरै जि खसमु सम्हारै ॥ So kaṫ daræ jė kʰasam samĥaaræ. One who contemplates his Lord and Master - why should he be afraid? ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਮਃ ੫ ॥ धनासरी मः ५ ॥ Ḋʰanaasree mėhlaa 5. Dhanaasaree, Fifth Mehl: ਡਰਿ ਡਰਿ ਪਚੇ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਵੇਚਾਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ डरि डरि पचे मनमुख वेचारे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ Dar dar paché manmukʰ véchaaré. ||1|| rahaa▫o. The wretched self-willed Manmukhs are ruined through fear and dread. ||1||Pause|| ਸਿਰ ਊਪਰਿ ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥ सिर ऊपरि मात पिता गुरदेव ॥ Sir oopar maaṫ piṫaa gurḋév. The Divine Guru, my mother and father, is over my head. ਏਕੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਰਾਸਿ ॥ एकु निरंजनु जा की रासि ॥ Ék niranjan jaa kee raas. The One Lord, the Immaculate Lord, is our capital. ਸਫਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸੇਵ ॥ सफल मूरति जा की निरमल सेव ॥ Safal mooraṫ jaa kee nirmal sév. His image brings prosperity; serving Him, we become pure. ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਹੋਵਤ ਪਰਗਾਸ ॥੧॥ मिलि साधसंगति होवत परगास ॥१॥ Mil saaḋʰsangaṫ hovaṫ pargaas. ||1|| Joining the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, we are illuminated and enlightened. ||1|| ਜੀਅਨ ਕਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਭ ਠਾਇ ॥ जीअन का दाता पूरन सभ ठाइ ॥ Jee▫an kaa ḋaaṫaa pooran sabʰ tʰaa▫é. The Giver of all beings is totally pervading everywhere. ਕੋਟਿ ਕਲੇਸ ਮਿਟਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਇ ॥ कोटि कलेस मिटहि हरि नाइ ॥ Kot kalés mitėh har naa▫é. Millions of pains are removed by the Lord’s Name. ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਸਗਲਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਨਾਸੈ ॥ जनम मरन सगला दुखु नासै ॥ Janam maran saglaa ḋukʰ naasæ. All the pains of birth and death are taken away ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਬਾਸੈ ॥੨॥ गुरमुखि जा कै मनि तनि बासै ॥२॥ Gurmukʰ jaa kæ man ṫan baasæ. ||2|| from the Gurmukh, within whose mind and body the Lord dwells. ||2|| ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਆਪਿ ਲਏ ਲੜਿ ਲਾਇ ॥ जिस नो आपि लए लड़ि लाइ ॥ Jis no aap la▫é laṛ laa▫é. He alone, whom the Lord has attached to the hem of His robe, ਦਰਗਹ ਮਿਲੈ ਤਿਸੈ ਹੀ ਜਾਇ ॥ दरगह मिलै तिसै ही जाइ ॥ Ḋargėh milæ ṫisæ hee jaa▫é. obtains a place in the Court of the Lord. ਸੇਈ ਭਗਤ ਜਿ ਸਾਚੇ ਭਾਣੇ ॥ सेई भगत जि साचे भाणे ॥ Sé▫ee bʰagaṫ jė saaché bʰaaṇé. They alone are devotees, who are pleasing to the True Lord. ਜਮਕਾਲ ਤੇ ਭਏ ਨਿਕਾਣੇ ॥੩॥ जमकाल ते भए निकाणे ॥३॥ Jamkaal ṫé bʰa▫é nikaaṇé. ||3|| They are freed from the Messenger of Death. ||3|| ਸਾਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਸਚੁ ਦਰਬਾਰੁ ॥ साचा साहिबु सचु दरबारु ॥ Saachaa saahib sach ḋarbaar. True is the Lord, and True is His Court. ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਉਣੁ ਕਹੈ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ॥ कीमति कउणु कहै बीचारु ॥ Keemaṫ ka▫uṇ kahæ beechaar. Who can contemplate and describe His value? ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਗਲ ਅਧਾਰੁ ॥ घटि घटि अंतरि सगल अधारु ॥ Gʰat gʰat anṫar sagal aḋʰaar. He is within each and every heart, the Support of all. ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਾਚੈ ਸੰਤ ਰੇਣਾਰੁ ॥੪॥੩॥੨੪॥ नानकु जाचै संत रेणारु ॥४॥३॥२४॥ Naanak jaachæ sanṫ réṇaar. ||4||3||24|| Nanak begs for the dust of the Saints. ||4||3||24||
