You are the Merciful Master of the meek. ||1|| ਊਠਤ ਬੈਠਤ ਸੋਵਤ ਜਾਗਤ ਜੀਅ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਧਨ ਮਾਲ ॥੨॥ ऊठत बैठत सोवत जागत जीअ प्रान धन माल ॥२॥ Ootʰaṫ bætʰaṫ sovaṫ jaagaṫ jee▫a paraan ḋʰan maal. ||2|| While standing up and sitting down, while sleeping and awake, You are my soul, my breath of life, my wealth and property. ||2|| ਦਰਸਨ ਪਿਆਸ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਮਨਿ ਮੇਰੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਰਸ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥੩॥੮॥੯॥ दरसन पिआस बहुतु मनि मेरै नानक दरस निहाल ॥३॥८॥९॥ Ḋarsan pi▫aas bahuṫ man méræ Naanak ḋaras nihaal. ||3||8||9|| Within my mind there is such a great thirst for the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan. Nanak is enraptured with Your Glance of Grace. ||3||8||9||
