ਜਿਸੁ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਡੂਬਤ ਪਾਹਨ ਤਰੇ ॥੩॥
जिसु सिमरत डूबत पाहन तरे ॥३॥
Jis simraṫ doobaṫ paahan ṫaré. ||3||
Remembering Him in meditation, sinking stones are made to float. ||3||

ਸੰਤ ਸਭਾ ਕਉ ਸਦਾ ਜੈਕਾਰੁ ॥
संत सभा कउ सदा जैकारु ॥
Sanṫ sabʰaa ka▫o saḋaa jækaar.
I salute and applaud the Society of the Saints.
|
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਅਧਾਰੁ ॥
हरि हरि नामु जन प्रान अधारु ॥
Har har naam jan paraan aḋʰaar.
The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is the Support of the breath of life of His servant.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੁਣੀ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ॥
कहु नानक मेरी सुणी अरदासि ॥
Kaho Naanak méree suṇee arḋaas.
Says Nanak, the Lord has heard my prayer;

ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਨਾਮ ਨਿਵਾਸਿ ॥੪॥੨੧॥੯੦॥
संत प्रसादि मो कउ नाम निवासि ॥४॥२१॥९०॥
Sanṫ parsaaḋ mo ka▫o naam nivaas. ||4||21||90||
by the Grace of the Saints, I dwell in the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||4||21||90||

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਦਰਸਨਿ ਅਗਨਿ ਨਿਵਾਰੀ ॥
सतिगुर दरसनि अगनि निवारी ॥
Saṫgur ḋarsan agan nivaaree.
By the Blessed Vision of the True Guru’s Darshan, the fire of desire is quenched.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਭੇਟਤ ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਰੀ ॥
सतिगुर भेटत हउमै मारी ॥
Saṫgur bʰétaṫ ha▫umæ maaree.
Meeting the True Guru, egotism is subdued.
|
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਮਨੁ ਡੋਲੈ ॥
सतिगुर संगि नाही मनु डोलै ॥
Saṫgur sang naahee man dolæ.
In the Company of the True Guru, the mind does not waver.
|
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬੋਲੈ ॥੧॥
अमृत बाणी गुरमुखि बोलै ॥१॥
Amriṫ baṇee gurmukʰ bolæ. ||1||
The Gurmukh speaks the Ambrosial Word of Gurbani. ||1||
|
ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਜਾ ਸਚ ਮਹਿ ਰਾਤੇ ॥
सभु जगु साचा जा सच महि राते ॥
Sabʰ jag saachaa jaa sach mėh raaṫé.
He sees the True One pervading the whole world; he is imbued with the True One.

ਸੀਤਲ ਸਾਤਿ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜਾਤੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
सीतल साति गुर ते प्रभ जाते ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Seeṫal saaṫ gur ṫé parabʰ jaaṫé. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
I have become cool and tranquil, knowing God, through the Guru. ||1||Pause||
|
ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਜਪੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਉ ॥
संत प्रसादि जपै हरि नाउ ॥
Sanṫ parsaaḋ japæ har naa▫o.
By the Grace of the Saints, one chants the Lord’s Name.

ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਗਾਉ ॥
संत प्रसादि हरि कीरतनु गाउ ॥
Sanṫ parsaaḋ har keerṫan gaa▫o.
By the Grace of the Saints, one sings the Kirtan of the Lord’s Praises.

ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਸਗਲ ਦੁਖ ਮਿਟੇ ॥
संत प्रसादि सगल दुख मिटे ॥
Sanṫ parsaaḋ sagal ḋukʰ mité.
By the Grace of the Saints, all pains are erased.

ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਬੰਧਨ ਤੇ ਛੁਟੇ ॥੨॥
संत प्रसादि बंधन ते छुटे ॥२॥
Sanṫ parsaaḋ banḋʰan ṫé chʰuté. ||2||
By the Grace of the Saints, one is released from bondage. ||2||
|
ਸੰਤ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਤੇ ਮਿਟੇ ਮੋਹ ਭਰਮ ॥
संत क्रिपा ते मिटे मोह भरम ॥
Sanṫ kirpaa ṫé mité moh bʰaram.
By the kind Mercy of the Saints, emotional attachment and doubt are removed.

ਸਾਧ ਰੇਣ ਮਜਨ ਸਭਿ ਧਰਮ ॥
साध रेण मजन सभि धरम ॥
Saaḋʰ réṇ majan sabʰ ḋʰaram.
Taking a bath in the dust of the feet of the Holy - this is true Dharmic faith.
|
ਸਾਧ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਦਇਆਲ ਗੋਵਿੰਦੁ ॥
साध क्रिपाल दइआल गोविंदु ॥
Saaḋʰ kirpaal ḋa▫i▫aal govinḋ.
By the kindness of the Holy, the Lord of the Universe becomes merciful.
|
ਸਾਧਾ ਮਹਿ ਇਹ ਹਮਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁ ॥੩॥
साधा महि इह हमरी जिंदु ॥३॥
Saaḋʰaa mėh ih hamree jinḋ. ||3||
The life of my soul is with the Holy. ||3||
|
ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਿਧਿ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ਧਿਆਵਉ ॥
किरपा निधि किरपाल धिआवउ ॥
Kirpaa niḋʰ kirpaal ḋʰi▫aava▫o.
Meditating on the Merciful Lord, the Treasure of Mercy,
|
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਤਾ ਬੈਠਣੁ ਪਾਵਉ ॥
साधसंगि ता बैठणु पावउ ॥
Saaḋʰsang ṫaa bætʰaṇ paava▫o.
I have obtained a seat in the Saadh Sangat.

ਮੋਹਿ ਨਿਰਗੁਣ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕੀਨੀ ਦਇਆ ॥
मोहि निरगुण कउ प्रभि कीनी दइआ ॥
Mohi nirguṇ ka▫o parabʰ keenee ḋa▫i▫aa.
I am worthless, but God has been kind to me.
|
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਲਇਆ ॥੪॥੨੨॥੯੧॥
साधसंगि नानक नामु लइआ ॥४॥२२॥९१॥
Saaḋʰsang Naanak naam la▫i▫aa. ||4||22||91||
In the Saadh Sangat, Nanak has taken to the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||4||22||91||

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਜਪਿਓ ਭਗਵੰਤੁ ॥
साधसंगि जपिओ भगवंतु ॥
Saaḋʰsang japi▫o bʰagvanṫ.
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, I meditate on the Lord God.

ਕੇਵਲ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਓ ਗੁਰਿ ਮੰਤੁ ॥
केवल नामु दीओ गुरि मंतु ॥
Kéval naam ḋee▫o gur manṫ.
The Guru has given me the Mantra of the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
|
ਤਜਿ ਅਭਿਮਾਨ ਭਏ ਨਿਰਵੈਰ ॥
तजि अभिमान भए निरवैर ॥
Ṫaj abʰimaan bʰa▫é nirvær.
Shedding my ego, I have become free of hate.
|
ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਪੂਜਹੁ ਗੁਰ ਪੈਰ ॥੧॥
आठ पहर पूजहु गुर पैर ॥१॥
Aatʰ pahar poojahu gur pær. ||1||
Twenty-four hours a day, I worship the Guru’s Feet. ||1||
|
ਅਬ ਮਤਿ ਬਿਨਸੀ ਦੁਸਟ ਬਿਗਾਨੀ ॥
अब मति बिनसी दुसट बिगानी ॥
Ab maṫ binsee ḋusat bigaanee.
Now, my evil sense of alienation is eliminated,
|
ਜਬ ਤੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਕਾਨੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
जब ते सुणिआ हरि जसु कानी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Jab ṫé suṇi▫aa har jas kaanee. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
since I have heard the Praises of the Lord with my ears. ||1||Pause||
|
ਸਹਜ ਸੂਖ ਆਨੰਦ ਨਿਧਾਨ ॥
सहज सूख आनंद निधान ॥
Sahj sookʰ aananḋ niḋʰaan.
The Savior Lord is the treasure of intuitive peace, poise and bliss.
|
ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰ ਰਖਿ ਲੇਇ ਨਿਦਾਨ ॥
राखनहार रखि लेइ निदान ॥
Raakʰanhaar rakʰ lé▫é niḋaan.
He shall save me in the end.
|
ਦੂਖ ਦਰਦ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਭੈ ਭਰਮ ॥
दूख दरद बिनसे भै भरम ॥
Ḋookʰ ḋaraḋ binsé bʰæ bʰaram.
My pains, sufferings, fears and doubts have been erased.
|
ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣ ਰਖੇ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਮ ॥੨॥
आवण जाण रखे करि करम ॥२॥
Aavaṇ jaaṇ rakʰé kar karam. ||2||
He has mercifully saved me from coming and going in reincarnation. ||2||
|
ਪੇਖੈ ਬੋਲੈ ਸੁਣੈ ਸਭੁ ਆਪਿ ॥
पेखै बोलै सुणै सभु आपि ॥
Pékʰæ bolæ suṇæ sabʰ aap.
He Himself beholds, speaks and hears all.
|
ਸਦਾ ਸੰਗਿ ਤਾ ਕਉ ਮਨ ਜਾਪਿ ॥
सदा संगि ता कउ मन जापि ॥
Saḋaa sang ṫaa ka▫o man jaap.
O my mind! Meditate on the One who is always with you.
|
ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਭਇਓ ਪਰਗਾਸੁ ॥
संत प्रसादि भइओ परगासु ॥
Sanṫ parsaaḋ bʰa▫i▫o pargaas.
By the Grace of the Saints, the Light has dawned.
|
ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹੇ ਏਕੈ ਗੁਣਤਾਸੁ ॥੩॥
पूरि रहे एकै गुणतासु ॥३॥
Poor rahé ékæ guṇṫaas. ||3||
The One Lord, the Treasure of Excellence, is perfectly pervading everywhere. ||3||
|
ਕਹਤ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਸੁਣਤ ਪੁਨੀਤ ॥
कहत पवित्र सुणत पुनीत ॥
Kahaṫ paviṫar suṇaṫ puneeṫ.
Pure are those who speak, and sanctified are those who hear,
|
ਗੁਣ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਨਿਤ ਨੀਤ ॥
गुण गोविंद गावहि नित नीत ॥
Guṇ govinḋ gaavahi niṫ neeṫ.
and sing forever and ever, the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe.
|
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਹੋਹੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ॥
कहु नानक जा कउ होहु क्रिपाल ॥
Kaho Naanak jaa ka▫o hohu kirpaal.
Says Nanak, when the Lord bestows His Mercy,
|
ਤਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਸਭ ਪੂਰਨ ਘਾਲ ॥੪॥੨੩॥੯੨॥
तिसु जन की सभ पूरन घाल ॥४॥२३॥९२॥
Ṫis jan kee sabʰ pooran gʰaal. ||4||23||92||
all one’s efforts are fulfilled. ||4||23||92||

ਬੰਧਨ ਤੋੜਿ ਬੋਲਾਵੈ ਰਾਮੁ ॥
बंधन तोड़ि बोलावै रामु ॥
Banḋʰan ṫoṛ bolaavæ raam.
He breaks our bonds, and inspires us to chant the Lord’s Name.
|
ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਲਾਗੈ ਸਾਚੁ ਧਿਆਨੁ ॥
मन महि लागै साचु धिआनु ॥
Man mėh laagæ saach ḋʰi▫aan.
With the mind centered in meditation on the True Lord,
|
ਮਿਟਹਿ ਕਲੇਸ ਸੁਖੀ ਹੋਇ ਰਹੀਐ ॥
मिटहि कलेस सुखी होइ रहीऐ ॥
Mitėh kalés sukʰee ho▫é rahee▫æ.
anguish is eradicated, and one comes to dwell in peace.
|
ਐਸਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਕਹੀਐ ॥੧॥
ऐसा दाता सतिगुरु कहीऐ ॥१॥
Æsaa ḋaaṫaa saṫgur kahee▫æ. ||1||
Such is the True Guru, the Great Giver. ||1||
|
ਸੋ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਜਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਾਵੈ ॥
सो सुखदाता जि नामु जपावै ॥
So sukʰ▫ḋaaṫa jė naam japaavæ.
He alone is the Giver of peace, who inspires us to chant the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
|
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
करि किरपा तिसु संगि मिलावै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Kar kirpaa ṫis sang milaavæ. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
By His Grace, He leads us to merge with Him. ||1||Pause||
|
ਜਿਸੁ ਹੋਇ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਆਪਿ ਮਿਲਾਵੈ ॥
जिसु होइ दइआलु तिसु आपि मिलावै ॥
Jis ho▫é ḋa▫i▫aal ṫis aap milaavæ.
He unites with Himself those unto whom He has shown His Mercy.
|
ਸਰਬ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
सरब निधान गुरू ते पावै ॥
Sarab niḋʰaan guroo ṫé paavæ.
All treasures are received from the Guru.
|
ਆਪੁ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਮਿਟੈ ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣਾ ॥
आपु तिआगि मिटै आवण जाणा ॥
Aap ṫi▫aag mitæ aavaṇ jaaṇaa.
Renouncing selfishness and conceit, coming and going come to an end.
|
ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪਛਾਣਾ ॥੨॥
साध कै संगि पारब्रहमु पछाणा ॥२॥
Saaḋʰ kæ sang paarbarahm pachʰaaṇaa. ||2||
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, the Supreme Lord God is recognized. ||2||
|
ਜਨ ਊਪਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਏ ਦਇਆਲ ॥
जन ऊपरि प्रभ भए दइआल ॥
Jan oopar parabʰ bʰa▫é ḋa▫i▫aal.
God has become merciful to His humble servant.
