ਸੋ ਜਪੁ ਤਪੁ ਸੇਵਾ ਚਾਕਰੀ ਜੋ ਖਸਮੈ ਭਾਵੈ ॥ सो जपु तपु सेवा चाकरी जो खसमै भावै ॥ So jap ṫap sévaa chaakree jo kʰasmæ bʰaavæ. That is chanting and meditation, work and selfless service, which is pleasing to our Lord and Master. ਆਪੇ ਬਖਸੇ ਮੇਲਿ ਲਏ ਆਪਤੁ ਗਵਾਵੈ ॥ आपे बखसे मेलि लए आपतु गवावै ॥ Aapé bakʰsé mél la▫é aapaṫ gavaavæ. The Lord Himself forgives, and takes away self-conceit, and unites the mortals with Himself. ਮਃ ੩ ॥ मः ३ ॥ Mėhlaa 3. Third Mehl: ਮਿਲਿਆ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਵੀਛੁੜੈ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਮਿਲਾਵੈ ॥ मिलिआ कदे न वीछुड़ै जोती जोति मिलावै ॥ Mili▫aa kaḋé na veechʰuṛæ joṫee joṫ milaavæ. United with the Lord, the mortal is never separated again; his light merges into the Light. ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਸੋ ਬੁਝਸੀ ਜਿਸੁ ਆਪਿ ਬੁਝਾਵੈ ॥੨॥ नानक गुर परसादी सो बुझसी जिसु आपि बुझावै ॥२॥ Naanak gur parsaadee so bujʰsee jis aap bujʰaavæ. ||2|| O Nanak! By Guru’s Grace, the mortal understands, when the Lord allows him to understand. ||2||
