ਉਸ ਦੀ ਦੇਹਿ ਦਾ ਦੁਚਿੱਤਾਪਣ ਸੁਖੈਨ ਹੀ, ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Jaa kæ sahj man bʰa▫i▫aa anand.
Bliss comes naturally to their minds.
ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਂਦੇ ਹੋ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਪੱਲੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਿਮ-ਗਿਆਨ ਹੈ।

Ṫaa ka▫o bʰéti▫aa parmaananḋ. ||5||
They meet the Lord, the Embodiment of Supreme Bliss. ||5||
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮ ਪਰਸੰਨਤਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੈ।

Sėhjé amriṫ pee▫o naam.
In peaceful poise, they drink the Ambrosial Nectar of the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
ਸੁਭਾਵਕ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਨਾਮ ਸੁਧਾਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

Sėhjé keeno jee▫a ko ḋaan.
In peace and poise, they give to the poor.
ਸੁਭਾਵਕ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਲੋੜਵੰਦੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ੈਰਾਤ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

Sahj kaṫʰaa mėh aaṫam rasi▫aa.
Their souls naturally delight in the Lord’s Sermon.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਕਥਾਵਾਰਤਾ ਅੰਦਰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਦੜੀ ਸੁਆਦ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

Ṫaa kæ sang abʰinaasee vasi▫aa. ||6||
The Imperishable Lord abides with them. ||6||
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਅਮਰ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਵਸਦਾ ਹੈ।

Sėhjé aasaṇ asṫʰir bʰaa▫i▫aa.
In peace and poise, they assume the unchanging position.
ਸਦੀਵੀ ਸਥਿਰ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ, ਸੁਖੈਨ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲਗਣ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Sėhjé anhaṫ sabaḋ vajaa▫i▫aa.
In peace and poise, the unstruck vibration of the Shabad resounds.
ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਲਈ ਬੈਕੁੰਠੀ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

Sėhjé ruṇ jʰuṇkaar suhaa▫i▫aa.
In peace and poise, the celestial bells resound.
ਅੰਦਰਵਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੈਸੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੀਲੀ ਧੁਨ ਸੁਭਾਵਕ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਭਾਇਮਾਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।

Ṫaa kæ gʰar paarbarahm samaa▫i▫aa. ||7||
Within their homes, the Supreme Lord God is pervading. ||7||
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਅੰਦਰ ਸ੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਸਦਾ ਹੈ।

Sėhjé jaa ka▫o pari▫o karmaa.
With intuitive ease, they meet the Lord, according to their karma.
ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਦੀ ਲਿਖਤਾਕਾਰ ਪਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।

Sėhjé gur bʰéti▫o sach ḋʰarmaa.
With intuitive ease, they meet with the Guru, in the true Dharma.
ਉਹ ਸੁਖੈਨ ਹੀ, ਸੱਚੇ ਈਮਾਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੈ।

Jaa kæ sahj bʰa▫i▫aa so jaaṇæ.
Those who know, attain the poise of intuitive peace.
ਕੇਵਲ ਉਹੀ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਬ੍ਰਹਿਮ-ਗਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ,

Naanak ḋaas ṫaa kæ kurbaaṇæ. ||8||3||
Slave Nanak is a sacrifice to them. ||8||3||

Paraṫʰmé garabʰ vaas ṫé tari▫aa.
First, they come forth from the womb.
ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, ਆਦਮੀ ਬੱਚੇਦਾਨੀ ਦੇ ਵਸੇਬੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Puṫar kalṫar kutamb sang juri▫aa.
They become attached to their children, spouses and families.
ਮਗਰੋਂ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੇਟਿਆ ਵਹੁਟੀ ਤੇ ਪਰਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Bʰojan anik parkaar baho kapré.
The foods of various sorts and appearances,
ਬਹੁਤੀਆਂ ਕਿਸਮਾ ਦੇ ਖਾਣੇ ਤੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਪੁਸ਼ਾਕਾਂ,

Sarpar gavan kar▫higé bapuré. ||1||
will surely pass away, O wretched mortal! ||1||
ਨਿਸਚਿਤ ਹੀ, ਚਲੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਹੇ ਬਦਬਖ਼ਤ ਬੰਦੇ!

Kavan asṫʰaan jo kabahu na taræ.
What is that place which never perishes?
ਉਹ ਕਿਹੜੀ ਥਾਂ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਕਦਾਚਿੱਤ ਨਾਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ?

Kavan sabaḋ jiṫ ḋurmaṫ haræ. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
What is that Word by which the dirt of the mind is removed? ||1||Pause||
ਉਹ ਕਿਹੜੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਖੋਟੀ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।

Inḋar puree mėh sarpar marṇaa.
In the Realm of Indra, death is sure and certain.
ਇੰਦ੍ਰ-ਲੋਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਤ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਤੇ ਲਾਜ਼ਮੀ ਹੈ।

Barahm puree nihchal nahee rahṇaa.
The Realm of Brahma shall not remain permanent.
ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਦਾ ਲੋਕ ਵੀ ਮੁਸਤਕਿਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿਣਾ।

Siv puree kaa ho▫igaa kaalaa.
The Realm of Shiva shall also perish.
ਸ਼ਿਵ-ਲੋਕ ਵੀ ਬਿਨਸ ਜਾਏਗਾ।

Ṫaræ guṇ maa▫i▫aa binas biṫaalaa. ||2||
The three dispositions, Maya and the demons shall vanish. ||2||
ਤਿੰਨਾ ਲੱਛਣਾ ਵਾਲੀ ਮੋਹਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਭੂਤਨੇ ਅਲੋਪ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ।

Gir ṫar ḋʰaraṇ gagan ar ṫaaré.
The mountains, the trees, the earth, the sky and the stars;
ਪਹਾੜ ਬ੍ਰਿਛ, ਧਰਤੀ, ਅਸਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਾਰੇ,

Rav sas pavaṇ paavak neeraaré.
the sun, the moon, the wind, water and fire;
ਸੂਰਜ, ਚੰਦਰਮਾ, ਹਵਾ, ਅਗ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ,
|
Ḋinas ræṇ baraṫ ar bʰéḋaa.
day and night, fasting days and their determination;
ਦਿਨ, ਰਾਤ, ਉਪਹਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਰਕ,
|
Saasaṫ simriṫ binashigé béḋaa. ||3||
the Shastras, the Smritis and the Vedas shall pass away. ||3||
ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ, ਸਿੰਮਰਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਦ ਸਭ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ।

Ṫiraṫʰ ḋév ḋéhuraa poṫʰee.
The sacred shrines of pilgrimage, gods, temples and holy books;
ਧਰਮ ਅਸਥਾਨ, ਦੇਵਤੇ, ਮੰਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ,
|
Maalaa ṫilak soch paak hoṫee.
rosaries, ceremonial tilak marks on the forehead, meditative people, the pure, and the performers of burnt offerings;
ਮਾਲਾ, ਟਿਕੇ, ਵਿਚਾਰਵਾਨ, ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਅਤੇ ਹਵਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ,

Ḋʰoṫee dand▫uṫ parsaaḋan bʰogaa.
wearing loincloths, bowing in reverence and the enjoyment of sacred foods -
ਤੇੜ ਦੇ ਕਪੜੇ, ਲੰਮੇ-ਪੈ ਨਿਸ਼ਮਕਾਰਾਂ, ਅੰਨ-ਦਾਨ ਤੇ ਰੰਗ-ਰਲੀਆਂ,
|
Gavan karægo saglo logaa. ||4||
all these, and all people, shall pass away. ||4||
ਇਹ ਸਮੂਹ ਚੀਜਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਟੁਰ ਜਾਣਗੇ।

Jaaṫ varan ṫurak ar hinḋoo.
Social classes, races, Muslims and Hindus;
ਜਾਤੀਆਂ, ਨਸਲਾ, ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਹਿੰਦੂ,
|
Pas pankʰee anik jon jinḋoo.
beasts, birds and the many varieties of beings and creatures;
ਡੰਗਰ, ਪੰਛੀ ਅਤੇ ਘਨੇਰੀਆਂ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਧਾਰੀ ਜੀਵ,

Sagal paasaar ḋeesæ paasaaraa.
the entire world and the visible universe -
ਤਮਾਮ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਰਚਨਾ ਜੋ ਦਿਸ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ,
|
Binas jaa▫igo sagal aakaaraa. ||5||
all forms of existence shall pass away. ||5||
ਹਸਤੀ ਦੇ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਰੂਪ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ।

Sahj sifaṫ bʰagaṫ ṫaṫ gi▫aanaa.
Through the Praises of the Lord, devotional worship, spiritual wisdom and the essence of reality,
ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਕੀਰਤੀ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਮਈ ਸੇਵਾ ਅਤੇ ਯਥਾਰਥ ਬ੍ਰਹਿਮ-ਬੋਧ ਦੁਆਰਾ,

Saḋaa anand nihchal sach ṫʰaanaa.
eternal bliss and the imperishable true place are obtained.
ਇਨਸਾਨ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਪਰਸੰਨਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਹਿੱਲ ਸੱਚਾ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Ṫahaa sangaṫ saaḋʰ guṇ rasæ.
There, in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, the Lord’s Glorious Praises are sung with love.
ਉਥੇ ਸਤਿ-ਸੰਗਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਉਹ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

Anbʰa▫o nagar ṫahaa saḋ vasæ. ||6||
There, in the city of fearlessness, He dwells forever. ||6||
ਉਥੇ ਉਹ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਡਰ-ਰਹਿਤ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

Ṫah bʰa▫o bʰarmaa sog na chinṫaa.
There is no fear, doubt, suffering or anxiety there;
ਉਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਡਰ, ਸੰਦੇਹ ਮਾਤਮ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰਕ ਅੰਦੇਸ਼ਾ ਨਹੀਂ।

Aavaṇ jaavaṇ miraṫ na hoṫaa.
there is no coming or going, and no death there.
ਉਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਆਗਮਨ, ਗਵਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਤ ਨਹੀਂ।
|
Ṫah saḋaa anand anhaṫ aakʰaaré.
There is eternal bliss, and the unstruck celestial music there.
ਉਥੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਲਈ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਤੇ-ਸਿਧ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਦੇ ਅਖਾੜੇ ਹਨ।

Bʰagaṫ vasėh keerṫan aaḋʰaaré. ||7||
The devotees dwell there, with the Kirtan of the Lord’s Praises as their support. ||7||
ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਜਾਨਿਸਾਰ ਗੁਮਾਸ਼ਤੇ ਉਥੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਈਂ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਹਾਰ ਹੈ।

Paarbarahm kaa anṫ na paar.
There is no end or limitation to the Supreme Lord God.
ਸ਼ਰੋਮਣੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਓੜਕ ਅਤੇ ਹੱਦਬੰਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ।

Ka▫uṇ karæ ṫaa kaa beechaar.
Who can embrace His contemplation?
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਨੂੰ ਕੌਣ ਧਾਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?

Kaho Naanak jis kirpaa karæ.
Says Nanak, when the Lord showers His Mercy,
ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਫੁਰਮਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੀਹਦੇ ਤੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਮਿਹਰ ਧਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ,

Nihchal ṫʰaan saaḋʰsang ṫaræ. ||8||4||
the imperishable home is obtained; in the Saadh Sangat, you shall be saved. ||8||4||
ਉਹ ਸਤਿਸੰਗਤ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪਾਰ ਉਤਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅਟੱਲ ਟਿਕਾਣੇ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Gauree, Fifth Mehl:
ਗਊੜੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਪੰਜਵੀ।

Jo is maaré so▫ee sooraa.
One who kills this is a spiritual hero.
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਮੁਕਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਹੈ।

Jo is maaré so▫ee pooraa.
One who kills this is perfect.
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਮੁਕਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੈ।

Jo is maaré ṫisėh vadi▫aa▫ee.
One who kills this obtains glorious greatness.
ਜਿਹੜਾਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਮੁਕਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭਤਾ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Jo is maaré ṫis kaa ḋukʰ jaa▫ee. ||1||
One who kills this is freed of suffering. ||1||
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਮੁਕਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਤੋਂ ਖਲਾਸੀ ਪਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Æsaa ko▫é jė ḋubiḋʰaa maar gavaavæ.
How rare is such a person, who kills and casts off duality.
ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਹੀ ਐਹੋ ਜੇਹਾ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਵੈਤ ਭਾਵ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਪਰੇ ਸੁਟ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Isėh maar raaj jog kamaavæ. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
Killing it, he attains Raja Yoga, the Yoga of meditation and success. ||1||Pause||
ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।
