ओरै कछू न किनहू कीआ ॥
Orai kacẖẖū na kinhū kī▫ā.
In this world, no one accomplishes anything by himself.

नानक सभु कछु प्रभ ते हूआ ॥५१॥
Nānak sabẖ kacẖẖ parabẖ ṯe hū▫ā. ||51||
O Nanak, everything is done by God. ||51||

सलोकु ॥
Salok.
Shalok:

लेखै कतहि न छूटीऐ खिनु खिनु भूलनहार ॥
Lekẖai kaṯėh na cẖẖūtī▫ai kẖin kẖin bẖūlanhār.
Because of the balance due on his account, he can never be released; he makes mistakes each and every moment.

बखसनहार बखसि लै नानक पारि उतार ॥१॥
Bakẖsanhār bakẖas lai Nānak pār uṯār. ||1||
O Forgiving Lord, please forgive me, and carry Nanak across. ||1||

पउड़ी ॥
Pa▫oṛī.
Pauree:

लूण हरामी गुनहगार बेगाना अलप मति ॥
Lūṇ harāmī gunahgār begānā alap maṯ.
The sinner is unfaithful to himself; he is ignorant, with shallow understanding.

जीउ पिंडु जिनि सुख दीए ताहि न जानत तत ॥
Jī▫o pind jin sukẖ ḏī▫e ṯāhi na jānaṯ ṯaṯ.
He does not know the essence of all, the One who gave him body, soul and peace.

लाहा माइआ कारने दह दिसि ढूढन जाइ ॥
Lāhā mā▫i▫ā kārne ḏah ḏis dẖūdẖan jā▫e.
For the sake of personal profit and Maya, he goes out, searching in the ten directions.

देवनहार दातार प्रभ निमख न मनहि बसाइ ॥
Ḏevanhār ḏāṯār parabẖ nimakẖ na manėh basā▫e.
He does not enshrine the Generous Lord God, the Great Giver, in his mind, even for an instant.

लालच झूठ बिकार मोह इआ स्मपै मन माहि ॥
Lālacẖ jẖūṯẖ bikār moh i▫ā sampai man māhi.
Greed, falsehood, corruption and emotional attachment - these are what he collects within his mind.

ल्मपट चोर निंदक महा तिनहू संगि बिहाइ ॥
Lampat cẖor ninḏak mahā ṯinhū sang bihā▫e.
The worst perverts, thieves and slanderers - he passes his time with them.

तुधु भावै ता बखसि लैहि खोटे संगि खरे ॥
Ŧuḏẖ bẖāvai ṯā bakẖas laihi kẖote sang kẖare.
But if it pleases You, Lord, then You forgive the counterfeit along with the genuine.

नानक भावै पारब्रहम पाहन नीरि तरे ॥५२॥
Nānak bẖāvai pārbarahm pāhan nīr ṯare. ||52||
O Nanak, if it pleases the Supreme Lord God, then even a stone will float on water. ||52||

सलोकु ॥
Salok.
Shalok:

खात पीत खेलत हसत भरमे जनम अनेक ॥
Kẖāṯ pīṯ kẖelaṯ hasaṯ bẖarme janam anek.
Eating, drinking, playing and laughing, I have wandered through countless incarnations.

भवजल ते काढहु प्रभू नानक तेरी टेक ॥१॥
Bẖavjal ṯe kādẖahu parabẖū Nānak ṯerī tek. ||1||
Please, God, lift me up and out of the terrifying world-ocean. Nanak seeks Your Support. ||1||

पउड़ी ॥
Pa▫oṛī.
Pauree:

खेलत खेलत आइओ अनिक जोनि दुख पाइ ॥
Kẖelaṯ kẖelaṯ ā▫i▫o anik jon ḏukẖ pā▫e.
Playing, playing, I have been reincarnated countless times, but this has only brought pain.

खेद मिटे साधू मिलत सतिगुर बचन समाइ ॥
Kẖeḏ mite sāḏẖū milaṯ saṯgur bacẖan samā▫e.
Troubles are removed, when one meets with the Holy; immerse yourself in the Word of the True Guru.

खिमा गही सचु संचिओ खाइओ अम्रितु नाम ॥
Kẖimā gahī sacẖ sancẖi▫o kẖā▫i▫o amriṯ nām.
Adopting an attitude of tolerance, and gathering truth, partake of the Ambrosial Nectar of the Name.

खरी क्रिपा ठाकुर भई अनद सूख बिस्राम ॥
Kẖarī kirpā ṯẖākur bẖa▫ī anaḏ sūkẖ bisrām.
When my Lord and Master showed His Great Mercy, I found peace, happiness and bliss.

खेप निबाही बहुतु लाभ घरि आए पतिवंत ॥
Kẖep nibāhī bahuṯ lābẖ gẖar ā▫e paṯivanṯ.
My merchandise has arrived safely, and I have made a great profit; I have returned home with honor.

खरा दिलासा गुरि दीआ आइ मिले भगवंत ॥
Kẖarā ḏilāsā gur ḏī▫ā ā▫e mile bẖagvanṯ.
The Guru has given me great consolation, and the Lord God has come to meet me.

आपन कीआ करहि आपि आगै पाछै आपि ॥
Āpan kī▫ā karahi āp āgai pācẖẖai āp.
He Himself has acted, and He Himself acts. He was in the past, and He shall be in the future.

नानक सोऊ सराहीऐ जि घटि घटि रहिआ बिआपि ॥५३॥
Nānak so▫ū sarāhī▫ai jė gẖat gẖat rahi▫ā bi▫āp. ||53||
O Nanak, praise the One, who is contained in each and every heart. ||53||

सलोकु ॥
Salok.
Shalok:

आए प्रभ सरनागती किरपा निधि दइआल ॥
Ā▫e parabẖ sarnāgaṯī kirpā niḏẖ ḏa▫i▫āl.
O God, I have come to Your Sanctuary, O Merciful Lord, Ocean of compassion.

एक अखरु हरि मनि बसत नानक होत निहाल ॥१॥
Ėk akẖar har man basaṯ Nānak hoṯ nihāl. ||1||
One whose mind is filled with the One Word of the Lord, O Nanak, becomes totally blissful. ||1||

पउड़ी ॥
Pa▫oṛī.
Pauree:

अखर महि त्रिभवन प्रभि धारे ॥
Akẖar mėh ṯaribẖavan parabẖ ḏẖāre.
In the Word, God established the three worlds.

अखर करि करि बेद बीचारे ॥
Akẖar kar kar beḏ bīcẖāre.
Created from the Word, the Vedas are contemplated.

अखर सासत्र सिम्रिति पुराना ॥
Akẖar sāsṯar simriṯ purānā.
From the Word, came the Shaastras, Simritees and Puraanas.

अखर नाद कथन वख्याना ॥
Akẖar nāḏ kathan vakẖ▫yānā.
From the Word, came the sound current of the Naad, speeches and explanations.

अखर मुकति जुगति भै भरमा ॥
Akẖar mukaṯ jugaṯ bẖai bẖarmā.
From the Word, comes the way of liberation from fear and doubt.

अखर करम किरति सुच धरमा ॥
Akẖar karam kiraṯ sucẖ ḏẖarmā.
From the Word, come religious rituals, karma, sacredness and Dharma.

द्रिसटिमान अखर है जेता ॥
Ḏaristimān akẖar hai jeṯā.
In the visible universe, the Word is seen.

नानक पारब्रहम निरलेपा ॥५४॥
Nānak pārbarahm nirlepā. ||54||
O Nanak, the Supreme Lord God remains unattached and untouched. ||54||

सलोकु ॥
Salok.
Shalok:

हथि कलम अगम मसतकि लिखावती ॥
Hath kalamm agamm masṯak likẖāvaṯī.
With pen in hand, the Inaccessible Lord writes man's destiny on his forehead.

उरझि रहिओ सभ संगि अनूप रूपावती ॥
Urajẖ rahi▫o sabẖ sang anūp rūpāvaṯī.
The Lord of Incomparable Beauty is involved with all.

उसतति कहनु न जाइ मुखहु तुहारीआ ॥
Usṯaṯ kahan na jā▫e mukẖahu ṯuhārī▫ā.
I cannot describe Your Praises with my mouth, O Lord.

मोही देखि दरसु नानक बलिहारीआ ॥१॥
Mohī ḏekẖ ḏaras Nānak balihārī▫ā. ||1||
Nanak is fascinated, gazing upon the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan; he is a sacrifice to You. ||1||

पउड़ी ॥
Pa▫oṛī.
Pauree:

हे अचुत हे पारब्रहम अबिनासी अघनास ॥
He acẖuṯ he pārbarahm abẖināsī agẖnās.
O Immovable Lord, O Supreme Lord God, Imperishable, Destroyer of sins:

हे पूरन हे सरब मै दुख भंजन गुणतास ॥
He pūran he sarab mai ḏukẖ bẖanjan guṇṯās.
O Perfect, All-pervading Lord, Destroyer of pain, Treasure of virtue:

हे संगी हे निरंकार हे निरगुण सभ टेक ॥
He sangī he nirankār he nirguṇ sabẖ tek.
O Companion, Formless, Absolute Lord, Support of all:

हे गोबिद हे गुण निधान जा कै सदा बिबेक ॥
He gobiḏ he guṇ niḏẖān jā kai saḏā bibek.
O Lord of the Universe, Treasure of excellence, with clear eternal understanding:

हे अपर्मपर हरि हरे हहि भी होवनहार ॥
He aprampar har hare hėh bẖī hovanhār.
Most Remote of the Remote, Lord God: You are, You were, and You shall always be.

हे संतह कै सदा संगि निधारा आधार ॥
He sanṯėh kai saḏā sang niḏẖārā āḏẖār.
O Constant Companion of the Saints, You are the Support of the unsupported.

हे ठाकुर हउ दासरो मै निरगुन गुनु नही कोइ ॥
He ṯẖākur ha▫o ḏāsro mai nirgun gun nahī ko▫e.
O my Lord and Master, I am Your slave. I am worthless, I have no worth at all.
