ਧਨ ਪਿਰਹਿ ਮੇਲਾ ਹੋਇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਆਪਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ ॥
धन पिरहि मेला होइ सुआमी आपि प्रभु किरपा करे ॥
Ḋʰan pirėh mélaa ho▫é su▫aamee aap parabʰ kirpaa karé.
The soul-bride meets her Husband Lord, when the Lord Master Himself showers His favor upon her.

ਸੇਜਾ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਪਿਰ ਕੈ ਸਾਤ ਸਰ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਭਰੇ ॥
सेजा सुहावी संगि पिर कै सात सर अमृत भरे ॥
Séjaa suhaavee sang pir kæ saaṫ sar amriṫ bʰaré.
Her bed is decorated in the company of her Beloved, and her seven pools are filled with ambrosial nectar.

ਕਰਿ ਦਇਆ ਮਇਆ ਦਇਆਲ ਸਾਚੇ ਸਬਦਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਓ ॥
करि दइआ मइआ दइआल साचे सबदि मिलि गुण गावओ ॥
Kar ḋa▫i▫aa ma▫i▫aa ḋa▫i▫aal saaché sabaḋ mil guṇ gaava▫o.
Be kind and compassionate to me, O Merciful True Lord, so that I may obtain the Word of the Shabad, and sing Your Glorious Praises.

ਨਾਨਕਾ ਹਰਿ ਵਰੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਬਿਗਸੀ ਮੁੰਧ ਮਨਿ ਓਮਾਹਓ ॥੧॥
नानका हरि वरु देखि बिगसी मुंध मनि ओमाहओ ॥१॥
Naankaa har var ḋékʰ bigsee munḋʰ man omaaha▫o. ||1||
O Nanak! Gazing upon her Husband Lord, the soul-bride is delighted, and her mind is filled with joy. ||1||

ਮੁੰਧ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਲੋਨੜੀਏ ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਬਿਨੰਤੀ ਰਾਮ ॥
मुंध सहजि सलोनड़ीए इक प्रेम बिनंती राम ॥
Munḋʰ sahj salonṛee▫é ik parém binanṫee raam.
O bride of natural beauty, offer your loving prayers to the Lord.

ਮੈ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਵੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੰਗਮਿ ਰਾਤੀ ਰਾਮ ॥
मै मनि तनि हरि भावै प्रभ संगमि राती राम ॥
Mæ man ṫan har bʰaavæ parabʰ sangam raaṫee raam.
The Lord is pleasing to my mind and body; I am intoxicated in my Lord God’s Company.

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪ੍ਰੇਮਿ ਰਾਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੰਤੀ ਨਾਮਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਸੁਖਿ ਵਸੈ ॥
प्रभ प्रेमि राती हरि बिनंती नामि हरि कै सुखि वसै ॥
Parabʰ parém raaṫee har binanṫee naam har kæ sukʰ vasæ.
Imbued with the Love of God, I pray to the Lord, and through the Lord’s Name, I abide in peace.

ਤਉ ਗੁਣ ਪਛਾਣਹਿ ਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜਾਣਹਿ ਗੁਣਹ ਵਸਿ ਅਵਗਣ ਨਸੈ ॥
तउ गुण पछाणहि ता प्रभु जाणहि गुणह वसि अवगण नसै ॥
Ṫa▫o guṇ pachʰaaṇėh ṫaa parabʰ jaaṇėh guṇah vas avgaṇ nasæ.
If you recognize His Glorious Virtues, then you shall come to know God; thus, virtue shall dwell in you, and sin shall run away.

ਤੁਧੁ ਬਾਝੁ ਇਕੁ ਤਿਲੁ ਰਹਿ ਨ ਸਾਕਾ ਕਹਣਿ ਸੁਨਣਿ ਨ ਧੀਜਏ ॥
तुधु बाझु इकु तिलु रहि न साका कहणि सुनणि न धीजए ॥
Ṫuḋʰ baajʰ ik ṫil rėh na saakaa kahaṇ sunaṇ na ḋʰeej▫é.
Without You, I cannot survive, even for an instant; by merely talking and hearing about You, I am not satisfied.

ਨਾਨਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਿਉ ਪ੍ਰਿਉ ਕਰਿ ਪੁਕਾਰੇ ਰਸਨ ਰਸਿ ਮਨੁ ਭੀਜਏ ॥੨॥
नानका प्रिउ प्रिउ करि पुकारे रसन रसि मनु भीजए ॥२॥
Naankaa pari▫o pari▫o kar pukaaré rasan ras man bʰeej▫é. ||2||
Nanak proclaims, “O Beloved, O Beloved!” His tongue and mind are drenched with the Lord’s sublime essence. ||2||

ਸਖੀਹੋ ਸਹੇਲੜੀਹੋ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਰੁ ਵਣਜਾਰਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
सखीहो सहेलड़ीहो मेरा पिरु वणजारा राम ॥
Sakʰeeho sahélṛeeho méraa pir vaṇjaaraa raam.
O my companions and friends, my Husband Lord is the merchant.

ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੋੁ ਵਣੰਜੜਿਆ ਰਸਿ ਮੋਲਿ ਅਪਾਰਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
हरि नामुो वणंजड़िआ रसि मोलि अपारा राम ॥
Har naamo vaṇanjṛi▫aa ras mol apaaraa raam.
I have purchased the Lord’s Name; its sweetness and value are unlimited.

ਮੋਲਿ ਅਮੋਲੋ ਸਚ ਘਰਿ ਢੋਲੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਮੁੰਧ ਭਲੀ ॥
मोलि अमोलो सच घरि ढोलो प्रभ भावै ता मुंध भली ॥
Mol amolo sach gʰar dʰolo parabʰ bʰaavæ ṫaa munḋʰ bʰalee.
His value is invaluable; the Beloved dwells in His true home. If it is pleasing to God, then He blesses His bride.

ਇਕਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਕਰਹਿ ਰਲੀਆ ਹਉ ਪੁਕਾਰੀ ਦਰਿ ਖਲੀ ॥
इकि संगि हरि कै करहि रलीआ हउ पुकारी दरि खली ॥
Ik sang har kæ karahi ralee▫aa ha▫o pukaaree ḋar kʰalee.
Some enjoy sweet pleasures with the Lord, while I stand crying at His door.

ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥ ਸ੍ਰੀਧਰ ਆਪਿ ਕਾਰਜੁ ਸਾਰਏ ॥
करण कारण समरथ स्रीधर आपि कारजु सारए ॥
Karaṇ kaaraṇ samraṫʰ sareeḋʰar aap kaaraj saar▫é.
The Creator, the Cause of all causes, the All-powerful Lord Himself arranges our affairs.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਦਰੀ ਧਨ ਸੋਹਾਗਣਿ ਸਬਦੁ ਅਭ ਸਾਧਾਰਏ ॥੩॥
नानक नदरी धन सोहागणि सबदु अभ साधारए ॥३॥
Naanak naḋree ḋʰan sohagaṇ sabaḋ abʰ saaḋʰaar▫é. ||3||
O Nanak! Blessed is the soul-bride, upon whom He casts His Glance of Grace; she enshrines the Word of the Shabad in her heart. ||3||

ਹਮ ਘਰਿ ਸਾਚਾ ਸੋਹਿਲੜਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਆਇਅੜੇ ਮੀਤਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
हम घरि साचा सोहिलड़ा प्रभ आइअड़े मीता राम ॥
Ham gʰar saachaa sohilṛaa parabʰ aa▫i▫aṛé meeṫaa raam.
In my home, the true songs of rejoicing resound; the Lord God, my Friend, has come to me.

ਰਾਵੇ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੜਿਆ ਮਨੁ ਲੀਅੜਾ ਦੀਤਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
रावे रंगि रातड़िआ मनु लीअड़ा दीता राम ॥
Raavé rang raaṫ▫ṛi▫aa man lee▫aṛaa ḋeeṫaa raam.
He enjoys me, and imbued with His Love, I have captivated His heart, and given mine to Him.

ਆਪਣਾ ਮਨੁ ਦੀਆ ਹਰਿ ਵਰੁ ਲੀਆ ਜਿਉ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਉ ਰਾਵਏ ॥
आपणा मनु दीआ हरि वरु लीआ जिउ भावै तिउ रावए ॥
Aapṇaa man ḋee▫aa har var lee▫aa ji▫o bʰaavæ ṫi▫o raav▫é.
I gave my mind, and obtained the Lord as my Husband; as it pleases His Will, He enjoys me.

ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਪਿਰ ਆਗੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਭਾਗੈ ਘਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਵਏ ॥
तनु मनु पिर आगै सबदि सभागै घरि अमृत फलु पावए ॥
Ṫan man pir aagæ sabaḋ sabʰaagæ gʰar amriṫ fal paav▫é.
I have placed my body and mind before my Husband Lord, and through the Shabad, I have been blessed. Within the home of my own self, I have obtained the ambrosial fruit.

ਬੁਧਿ ਪਾਠਿ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ਬਹੁ ਚਤੁਰਾਈਐ ਭਾਇ ਮਿਲੈ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਣੇ ॥
बुधि पाठि न पाईऐ बहु चतुराईऐ भाइ मिलै मनि भाणे ॥
Buḋʰ paatʰ na paa▫ee▫æ baho chaṫuraa▫ee▫æ bʰaa▫é milæ man bʰaaṇé.
He is not obtained by intellectual recitation or great cleverness; only by love does the mind obtain Him.

ਨਾਨਕ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਮੀਤ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਹਮ ਨਾਹੀ ਲੋਕਾਣੇ ॥੪॥੧॥
नानक ठाकुर मीत हमारे हम नाही लोकाणे ॥४॥१॥
Naanak tʰaakur meeṫ hamaaré ham naahee lokaaṇé. ||4||1||
O Nanak! The Lord Master is my Best Friend; I am not an ordinary person. ||4||1||

ਅਨਹਦੋ ਅਨਹਦੁ ਵਾਜੈ ਰੁਣ ਝੁਣਕਾਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
अनहदो अनहदु वाजै रुण झुणकारे राम ॥
Anhaḋo anhaḋ vaajæ ruṇ jʰuṇkaaré raam.
The unstruck melody of the sound current resounds with the vibrations of the celestial instruments.

ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੋ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਤਾ ਲਾਲ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
मेरा मनो मेरा मनु राता लाल पिआरे राम ॥
Méraa mano méraa man raaṫaa laal pi▫aaré raam.
My mind, my mind is imbued with the Love of my Darling Beloved.

ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤਾ ਮਨੁ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ਸੁੰਨ ਮੰਡਲਿ ਘਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
अनदिनु राता मनु बैरागी सुंन मंडलि घरु पाइआ ॥
An▫ḋin raaṫaa man bæraagee sunn mandal gʰar paa▫i▫aa.
Night and day, my detached mind remains absorbed in the Lord, and I obtain my home in the profound trance of the celestial void.

ਆਦਿ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਅਪਰੰਪਰੁ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਅਲਖੁ ਲਖਾਇਆ ॥
आदि पुरखु अपर्मपरु पिआरा सतिगुरि अलखु लखाइआ ॥
Aaḋ purakʰ aprampar pi▫aaraa saṫgur alakʰ lakʰaa▫i▫aa.
The True Guru has revealed to me the Primal Lord, the Infinite, my Beloved, the Unseen.

ਆਸਣਿ ਬੈਸਣਿ ਥਿਰੁ ਨਾਰਾਇਣੁ ਤਿਤੁ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਤਾ ਵੀਚਾਰੇ ॥
आसणि बैसणि थिरु नाराइणु तितु मनु राता वीचारे ॥
Aasaṇ bæsaṇ ṫʰir naaraa▫iṇ ṫiṫ man raaṫaa veechaaré.
The Lord’s posture and His seat are permanent; my mind is absorbed in reflective contemplation upon Him.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤੇ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ਅਨਹਦ ਰੁਣ ਝੁਣਕਾਰੇ ॥੧॥
नानक नामि रते बैरागी अनहद रुण झुणकारे ॥१॥
Naanak naam raṫé bæraagee anhaḋ ruṇ jʰuṇkaaré. ||1||
O Nanak! The detached ones are imbued with His Name, the unstruck melody, and the celestial vibrations. ||1||

ਤਿਤੁ ਅਗਮ ਤਿਤੁ ਅਗਮ ਪੁਰੇ ਕਹੁ ਕਿਤੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਜਾਈਐ ਰਾਮ ॥
तितु अगम तितु अगम पुरे कहु कितु बिधि जाईऐ राम ॥
Ṫiṫ agam ṫiṫ agam puré kaho kiṫ biḋʰ jaa▫ee▫æ raam.
Tell me, how can I reach that unreachable, that unreachable city?

ਸਚੁ ਸੰਜਮੋ ਸਾਰਿ ਗੁਣਾ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੁ ਕਮਾਈਐ ਰਾਮ ॥
सचु संजमो सारि गुणा गुर सबदु कमाईऐ राम ॥
Sach sanjamo saar guṇaa gur sabaḋ kamaa▫ee▫æ raam.
By practicing truthfulness and self-restraint, by contemplating His Glorious Virtues, and living the Word of the Guru’s Shabad.

ਸਚੁ ਸਬਦੁ ਕਮਾਈਐ ਨਿਜ ਘਰਿ ਜਾਈਐ ਪਾਈਐ ਗੁਣੀ ਨਿਧਾਨਾ ॥
सचु सबदु कमाईऐ निज घरि जाईऐ पाईऐ गुणी निधाना ॥
Sach sabaḋ kamaa▫ee▫æ nij gʰar jaa▫ee▫æ paa▫ee▫æ guṇee niḋʰaanaa.
Practicing the True Word of the Shabad, one comes to the home of his own inner being, and obtains the treasure of virtue.

ਤਿਤੁ ਸਾਖਾ ਮੂਲੁ ਪਤੁ ਨਹੀ ਡਾਲੀ ਸਿਰਿ ਸਭਨਾ ਪਰਧਾਨਾ ॥
तितु साखा मूलु पतु नही डाली सिरि सभना परधाना ॥
Ṫiṫ saakʰaa mool paṫ nahee daalee sir sabʰnaa parḋʰaanaa.
He has no stems, roots, leaves or branches, but He is the Supreme Lord over the heads of all.

ਜਪੁ ਤਪੁ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਸੰਜਮ ਥਾਕੀ ਹਠਿ ਨਿਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਈਐ ॥
जपु तपु करि करि संजम थाकी हठि निग्रहि नही पाईऐ ॥
Jap ṫap kar kar sanjam ṫʰaakee hatʰ nigrahi nahee paa▫ee▫æ.
People have grown weary by practicing intensive chanting, hard yogic acts and self-discipline, but they still have not found Him.

ਨਾਨਕ ਸਹਜਿ ਮਿਲੇ ਜਗਜੀਵਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਬੂਝ ਬੁਝਾਈਐ ॥੨॥
नानक सहजि मिले जगजीवन सतिगुर बूझ बुझाईऐ ॥२॥
Naanak sahj milé jagjeevan saṫgur boojʰ bujʰaa▫ee▫æ. ||2||
O Nanak! The Lord, the Life of the world, is met with ease, when the True Guru imparts this understanding. ||2||

ਗੁਰੁ ਸਾਗਰੋ ਰਤਨਾਗਰੁ ਤਿਤੁ ਰਤਨ ਘਣੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
गुरु सागरो रतनागरु तितु रतन घणेरे राम ॥
Gur saagro raṫnaagar ṫiṫ raṫan gʰaṇéré raam.
The Guru is the ocean, the mountain of jewels, overflowing with jewels.
