ਲੋਕਨ ਕੀ ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ਉਪਮਾ ਤੇ ਬੈਸੰਤਰਿ ਜਾਰਿ ॥
लोकन की चतुराई उपमा ते बैसंतरि जारि ॥
Lokan kee chaṫuraa▫ee upmaa ṫé bæsanṫar jaar.
I have burnt in the fire the clever devices and praises of the world.

ਕੋਈ ਭਲਾ ਕਹਉ ਭਾਵੈ ਬੁਰਾ ਕਹਉ ਹਮ ਤਨੁ ਦੀਓ ਹੈ ਢਾਰਿ ॥੧॥
कोई भला कहउ भावै बुरा कहउ हम तनु दीओ है ढारि ॥१॥
Ko▫ee bʰalaa kaha▫o bʰaavæ buraa kaha▫o ham ṫan ḋee▫o hæ dʰaar. ||1||
Some speak good of me, and some speak ill of me, but I have surrendered my body to You. ||1||

ਜੋ ਆਵਤ ਸਰਣਿ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਤਿਸੁ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰਿ ॥
जो आवत सरणि ठाकुर प्रभु तुमरी तिसु राखहु किरपा धारि ॥
Jo aavaṫ saraṇ tʰaakur parabʰ ṫumree ṫis raakʰo kirpaa ḋʰaar.
Whoever comes to Your Sanctuary, O God, Lord and Master, You save by Your Merciful Grace.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਣਿ ਤੁਮਾਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਲਾਜ ਮੁਰਾਰਿ ॥੨॥੪॥
जन नानक सरणि तुमारी हरि जीउ राखहु लाज मुरारि ॥२॥४॥
Jan Naanak saraṇ ṫumaaree har jee▫o raakʰo laaj muraar. ||2||4||
Servant Nanak has entered Your Sanctuary, Dear Lord; O Lord, please, protect his honor! ||2||4||

ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਹਉ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ॥
हरि गुण गावै हउ तिसु बलिहारी ॥
Har guṇ gaavæ ha▫o ṫis balihaaree.
I am a sacrifice to one who sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord.

ਦੇਖਿ ਦੇਖਿ ਜੀਵਾ ਸਾਧ ਗੁਰ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਜਿਸੁ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੁਰਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
देखि देखि जीवा साध गुर दरसनु जिसु हिरदै नामु मुरारी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ḋékʰ ḋékʰ jeevaa saaḋʰ gur ḋarsan jis hirḋæ naam muraaree. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
I live by continuously beholding the Blessed Vision of the Holy Guru’s Darshan; within His Mind is the Name of the Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਤੁਮ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਾਵਨ ਪੁਰਖ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਮ ਕਿਉ ਕਰਿ ਮਿਲਹ ਜੂਠਾਰੀ ॥
तुम पवित्र पावन पुरख प्रभ सुआमी हम किउ करि मिलह जूठारी ॥
Ṫum paviṫar paavan purakʰ parabʰ su▫aamee ham ki▫o kar milah jootʰaaree.
You are pure and immaculate, O God, Almighty Lord and Master; how can I, the impure one, meet You?

ਹਮਰੈ ਜੀਇ ਹੋਰੁ ਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਰੁ ਹੋਤ ਹੈ ਹਮ ਕਰਮਹੀਣ ਕੂੜਿਆਰੀ ॥੧॥
हमरै जीइ होरु मुखि होरु होत है हम करमहीण कूड़िआरी ॥१॥
Hamræ jee▫é hor mukʰ hor hoṫ hæ ham karamheeṇ kʰooṛi▫aaree. ||1||
I have one thing in my mind, and another thing on my lips; I am such a poor, unfortunate liar! ||1||

ਹਮਰੀ ਮੁਦ੍ਰ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਰਿਦ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਦੁਸਟ ਦੁਸਟਾਰੀ ॥
हमरी मुद्र नामु हरि सुआमी रिद अंतरि दुसट दुसटारी ॥
Hamree muḋar naam har su▫aamee riḋ anṫar ḋusat ḋustaaree.
I appear to chant the Lord’s Name, but within my heart, I am the most wicked of the wicked.

ਜਿਉ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਉ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਣਿ ਤੁਮੑਾਰੀ ॥੨॥੫॥
जिउ भावै तिउ राखहु सुआमी जन नानक सरणि तुम्हारी ॥२॥५॥
Ji▫o bʰaavæ ṫi▫o raakʰo su▫aamee jan Naanak saraṇ ṫumĥaaree. ||2||5||
As it pleases You, save me, O Lord and Master; servant Nanak seeks Your Sanctuary. ||2||5||

ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਸੁੰਦਰਿ ਹੈ ਨਕਟੀ ॥
हरि के नाम बिना सुंदरि है नकटी ॥
Har ké naam binaa sunḋar hæ naktee.
Without the Name of the Lord, the beautiful are just like the noseless ones.

ਜਿਉ ਬੇਸੁਆ ਕੇ ਘਰਿ ਪੂਤੁ ਜਮਤੁ ਹੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਰਿਓ ਹੈ ਧ੍ਰਕਟੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
जिउ बेसुआ के घरि पूतु जमतु है तिसु नामु परिओ है ध्रकटी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ji▫o bésu▫aa ké gʰar pooṫ jamaṫ hæ ṫis naam pari▫o hæ ḋʰarkatee. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
Like the son, born into the house of a prostitute, his name is cursed. ||1||Pause||
|
ਜਿਨ ਕੈ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤੇ ਬਿਗੜ ਰੂਪ ਬੇਰਕਟੀ ॥
जिन कै हिरदै नाहि हरि सुआमी ते बिगड़ रूप बेरकटी ॥
Jin kæ hirḋæ naahi har su▫aamee ṫé bigaṛ roop bérkatee.
Those who do not have the Name of their Lord and Master within their hearts, are the most wretched, deformed lepers.

ਜਿਉ ਨਿਗੁਰਾ ਬਹੁ ਬਾਤਾ ਜਾਣੈ ਓਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਹੈ ਭ੍ਰਸਟੀ ॥੧॥
जिउ निगुरा बहु बाता जाणै ओहु हरि दरगह है भ्रसटी ॥१॥
Ji▫o niguraa baho baaṫaa jaaṇæ oh har ḋargėh hæ bʰarsatee. ||1||
Like the person who has no Guru, they may know many things, but they are cursed in the Court of the Lord. ||1||
|
ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਹੋਆ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤਿਨਾ ਸਾਧ ਜਨਾ ਪਗ ਚਕਟੀ ॥
जिन कउ दइआलु होआ मेरा सुआमी तिना साध जना पग चकटी ॥
Jin ka▫o ḋa▫i▫aal ho▫aa méraa su▫aamee ṫinaa saaḋʰ janaa pag chaktee.
Those, unto whom my Lord Master becomes Merciful, long for the feet of the Holy.

ਨਾਨਕ ਪਤਿਤ ਪਵਿਤ ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪਾਛੈ ਛੁਕਟੀ ॥੨॥੬॥ ਛਕਾ ੧
नानक पतित पवित मिलि संगति गुर सतिगुर पाछै छुकटी ॥२॥६॥ छका १
Naanak paṫiṫ paviṫ mil sangaṫ gur saṫgur paachʰæ chʰuktee. ||2||6|| chʰakaa 1
O Nanak! The sinners become pure, joining the Company of the Holy; following the Guru, the True Guru, they are emancipated. ||2||6|| Chhakaa 1||

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਮਾਈ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਈਐ ॥
माई गुर चरणी चितु लाईऐ ॥
Maa▫ee gur charṇee chiṫ laa▫ee▫æ.
O mother, I focus my consciousness on the Guru’s feet.

ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਹੋਇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਕਮਲੁ ਪਰਗਾਸੇ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਈਐ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
प्रभु होइ क्रिपालु कमलु परगासे सदा सदा हरि धिआईऐ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Parabʰ ho▫é kirpaal kamal pargaasé saḋaa saḋaa har ḋʰi▫aa▫ee▫æ. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
As God shows His Mercy, the lotus of my heart blossoms, and forever and ever, I meditate on the Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਏਕੋ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਏਕੋ ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਏਕੁ ਸਮਾਈਐ ॥
अंतरि एको बाहरि एको सभ महि एकु समाईऐ ॥
Anṫar éko baahar éko sabʰ mėh ék samaa▫ee▫æ.
The One Lord is within, and the One Lord is outside; the One Lord is contained in all.

ਘਟਿ ਅਵਘਟਿ ਰਵਿਆ ਸਭ ਠਾਈ ਹਰਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਦਿਖਾਈਐ ॥੧॥
घटि अवघटि रविआ सभ ठाई हरि पूरन ब्रहमु दिखाईऐ ॥१॥
Gʰat avgʰat ravi▫aa sabʰ tʰaa▫ee har pooran barahm ḋikʰaa▫ee▫æ. ||1||
Within the heart, beyond the heart, and in all places, God, the Perfect One, is seen to be permeating. ||1||
|
ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਸੇਵਕ ਮੁਨਿ ਕੇਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਕਤਹੂ ਪਾਈਐ ॥
उसतति करहि सेवक मुनि केते तेरा अंतु न कतहू पाईऐ ॥
Usṫaṫ karahi sévak mun kéṫé ṫéraa anṫ na kaṫhoo paa▫ee▫æ.
So many of Your servants and silent sages sing Your Praises, but no one has found Your limits.

ਸੁਖਦਾਤੇ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈਐ ॥੨॥੧॥
सुखदाते दुख भंजन सुआमी जन नानक सद बलि जाईऐ ॥२॥१॥
Sukʰ▫ḋaaṫé ḋukʰ bʰanjan su▫aamee jan Naanak saḋ bal jaa▫ee▫æ. ||2||1||
O Giver of peace, Destroyer of pain, Lord and Master - servant Nanak is forever a sacrifice to You. ||2||1||

ਦੇਵਗੰਧਾਰੀ ॥

ਮਾਈ ਹੋਨਹਾਰ ਸੋ ਹੋਈਐ ॥
माई होनहार सो होईऐ ॥
Maa▫ee honhaar so ho▫ee▫æ.
O mother, whatever is to be, shall be.
|
ਰਾਚਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਰਚਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪਨੀ ਕਹਾ ਲਾਭੁ ਕਹਾ ਖੋਈਐ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
राचि रहिओ रचना प्रभु अपनी कहा लाभु कहा खोईऐ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Raach rahi▫o rachnaa parabʰ apnee kahaa laabʰ kahaa kʰo▫ee▫æ. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
God pervades His pervading creation; one gains, while another loses. ||1||Pause||
|
ਕਹ ਫੂਲਹਿ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਿਖੈ ਸੋਗ ਕਬ ਹਸਨੋ ਕਬ ਰੋਈਐ ॥
कह फूलहि आनंद बिखै सोग कब हसनो कब रोईऐ ॥
Kah foolėh aananḋ bikʰæ sog kab hasno kab ro▫ee▫æ.
Sometimes he blossoms in bliss, while at other times, he suffers in mourning. Sometimes he laughs, and sometimes he weeps.

ਕਬਹੂ ਮੈਲੁ ਭਰੇ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੀ ਕਬ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਧੋਈਐ ॥੧॥
कबहू मैलु भरे अभिमानी कब साधू संगि धोईऐ ॥१॥
Kabhoo mæl bʰaré abʰimaanee kab saaḋʰoo sang ḋʰo▫ee▫æ. ||1||
Sometimes he is filled with the filth of ego, while at other times, he washes it off in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||1||
|
ਕੋਇ ਨ ਮੇਟੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਕੀਆ ਦੂਸਰ ਨਾਹੀ ਅਲੋਈਐ ॥
कोइ न मेटै प्रभ का कीआ दूसर नाही अलोईऐ ॥
Ko▫é na métæ parabʰ kaa kee▫aa ḋoosar naahee alo▫ee▫æ.
No one can erase the actions of God; I cannot see any other like Him.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਜਿਹ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਸੁਖਿ ਸੋਈਐ ॥੨॥੨॥
कहु नानक तिसु गुर बलिहारी जिह प्रसादि सुखि सोईऐ ॥२॥२॥
Kaho Naanak ṫis gur balihaaree jih parsaaḋ sukʰ so▫ee▫æ. ||2||2||
Says Nanak, I am a sacrifice to the Guru; by His Grace, I sleep in peace. ||2||2||
