ਪਾਂਡੇ ਤੁਮਰਾ ਰਾਮਚੰਦੁ ਸੋ ਭੀ ਆਵਤੁ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਥਾ ॥
पांडे तुमरा रामचंदु सो भी आवतु देखिआ था ॥
Paaⁿdé ṫumraa raamchanḋ so bʰee aavaṫ ḋékʰi▫aa ṫʰaa.
O Pandit, I saw your Ram Chand coming too

ਰਾਵਨ ਸੇਤੀ ਸਰਬਰ ਹੋਈ ਘਰ ਕੀ ਜੋਇ ਗਵਾਈ ਥੀ ॥੩॥
रावन सेती सरबर होई घर की जोइ गवाई थी ॥३॥
Raavan séṫee sarbar ho▫ee gʰar kee jo▫é gavaa▫ee ṫʰee. ||3||
; he lost his wife, fighting a war against Raawan. ||3||

ਹਿੰਦੂ ਅੰਨੑਾ ਤੁਰਕੂ ਕਾਣਾ ॥
हिंदू अंन्हा तुरकू काणा ॥
Hinḋoo anĥaa ṫurkoo kaaṇaa.
The Hindu is sightless; the Muslim has only one eye.

ਦੁਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਸਿਆਣਾ ॥
दुहां ते गिआनी सिआणा ॥
Ḋuhaaⁿ ṫé gi▫aanee si▫aaṇaa.
The spiritual teacher is wiser than both of them.

ਹਿੰਦੂ ਪੂਜੈ ਦੇਹੁਰਾ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਣੁ ਮਸੀਤਿ ॥
हिंदू पूजै देहुरा मुसलमाणु मसीति ॥
Hinḋoo poojæ ḋéhuraa musalmaaṇ maseeṫ.
The Hindu worships at the temple, the Muslim at the mosque.

ਨਾਮੇ ਸੋਈ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਜਹ ਦੇਹੁਰਾ ਨ ਮਸੀਤਿ ॥੪॥੩॥੭॥
नामे सोई सेविआ जह देहुरा न मसीति ॥४॥३॥७॥
Naamé so▫ee sévi▫aa jah ḋéhuraa na maseeṫ. ||4||3||7||
Namdev serves that Lord, who is not limited to either the temple or the mosque. ||4||3||7||

ਮੁਕੰਦ ਮੁਕੰਦ ਜਪਹੁ ਸੰਸਾਰ ॥
मुकंद मुकंद जपहु संसार ॥
Mukanḋ mukanḋ japahu sansaar.
Meditate on the Lord Mukanday, the Liberator, O people of the world.

ਬਿਨੁ ਮੁਕੰਦ ਤਨੁ ਹੋਇ ਅਉਹਾਰ ॥
बिनु मुकंद तनु होइ अउहार ॥
Bin mukanḋ ṫan ho▫é a▫uhaar.
Without Mukanday, the body shall be reduced to ashes.

ਸੋਈ ਮੁਕੰਦੁ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਕਾ ਦਾਤਾ ॥
सोई मुकंदु मुकति का दाता ॥
So▫ee mukanḋ mukaṫ kaa ḋaaṫaa.
Mukanday is the Giver of liberation.

ਸੋਈ ਮੁਕੰਦੁ ਹਮਰਾ ਪਿਤ ਮਾਤਾ ॥੧॥
सोई मुकंदु हमरा पित माता ॥१॥
So▫ee mukanḋ hamraa piṫ maaṫaa. ||1||
Mukanday is my father and mother. ||1||
|
ਜੀਵਤ ਮੁਕੰਦੇ ਮਰਤ ਮੁਕੰਦੇ ॥
जीवत मुकंदे मरत मुकंदे ॥
Jeevaṫ mukanḋé maraṫ mukanḋé.
Meditate on Mukanday in life, and meditate on Mukanday in death.

ਤਾ ਕੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਕਉ ਸਦਾ ਅਨੰਦੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ता के सेवक कउ सदा अनंदे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ṫaa ké sévak ka▫o saḋaa ananḋé. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
His servant is blissful forever. ||1||Pause||

ਮੁਕੰਦ ਮੁਕੰਦ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੰ ॥
मुकंद मुकंद हमारे प्रानं ॥
Mukanḋ mukanḋ hamaaré paraanaⁿ.
The Lord, Mukanday, is my breath of life.

ਜਪਿ ਮੁਕੰਦ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਨੀਸਾਨੰ ॥
जपि मुकंद मसतकि नीसानं ॥
Jap mukanḋ masṫak neesaanaⁿ.
Meditating on Mukanday, one’s forehead will bear the Lord’s insignia of approval.

ਸੇਵ ਮੁਕੰਦ ਕਰੈ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ॥
सेव मुकंद करै बैरागी ॥
Sév mukanḋ karæ bæraagee.
The renunciate serves Mukanday.
|
ਸੋਈ ਮੁਕੰਦੁ ਦੁਰਬਲ ਧਨੁ ਲਾਧੀ ॥੨॥
सोई मुकंदु दुरबल धनु लाधी ॥२॥
So▫ee mukanḋ ḋurbal ḋʰan laaḋʰee. ||2||
Mukanday is the wealth of the poor and forlorn. ||2||
|
ਏਕੁ ਮੁਕੰਦੁ ਕਰੈ ਉਪਕਾਰੁ ॥
एकु मुकंदु करै उपकारु ॥
Ék mukanḋ karæ upkaar.
When the One Liberator does me a favor,
|
ਹਮਰਾ ਕਹਾ ਕਰੈ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥
हमरा कहा करै संसारु ॥
Hamraa kahaa karæ sansaar.
then what can the world do to me?
|
ਮੇਟੀ ਜਾਤਿ ਹੂਏ ਦਰਬਾਰਿ ॥
मेटी जाति हूए दरबारि ॥
Métee jaaṫ hoo▫é ḋarbaar.
Erasing my social status, I have entered His Court.
|
ਤੁਹੀ ਮੁਕੰਦ ਜੋਗ ਜੁਗ ਤਾਰਿ ॥੩॥
तुही मुकंद जोग जुग तारि ॥३॥
Ṫuhee mukanḋ jog jug ṫaar. ||3||
You, Mukanday, are potent throughout the four ages. ||3||
|
ਉਪਜਿਓ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਹੂਆ ਪਰਗਾਸ ॥
उपजिओ गिआनु हूआ परगास ॥
Upji▫o gi▫aan hoo▫aa pargaas.
Spiritual wisdom has welled up, and I have been enlightened.

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਲੀਨੇ ਕੀਟ ਦਾਸ ॥
करि किरपा लीने कीट दास ॥
Kar kirpaa leené keet ḋaas.
In His Mercy, the Lord has made this worm His slave.

ਕਹੁ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਅਬ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਚੂਕੀ ॥
कहु रविदास अब त्रिसना चूकी ॥
Kaho Raviḋaas ab ṫarisnaa chookee.
Says Ravi Das, now my thirst is quenched;

ਜਪਿ ਮੁਕੰਦ ਸੇਵਾ ਤਾਹੂ ਕੀ ॥੪॥੧॥
जपि मुकंद सेवा ताहू की ॥४॥१॥
Jap mukanḋ sévaa ṫaahoo kee. ||4||1||
I meditate on Mukanday the Liberator, and I serve Him. ||4||1||

ਜੇ ਓਹੁ ਅਠਸਠਿ ਤੀਰਥ ਨੑਾਵੈ ॥
जे ओहु अठसठि तीरथ न्हावै ॥
Jé oh atʰsatʰ ṫiraṫʰ nĥaavæ.
Someone may bathe at the sixty-eight sacred shrines of pilgrimage,
|
ਜੇ ਓਹੁ ਦੁਆਦਸ ਸਿਲਾ ਪੂਜਾਵੈ ॥
जे ओहु दुआदस सिला पूजावै ॥
Jé oh ḋu▫aaḋas silaa poojaavæ.
and worship the twelve Shiva-lingam stones,
|
ਜੇ ਓਹੁ ਕੂਪ ਤਟਾ ਦੇਵਾਵੈ ॥
जे ओहु कूप तटा देवावै ॥
Jé oh koop ṫataa ḋévaavæ.
and dig wells and pools,
|
ਕਰੈ ਨਿੰਦ ਸਭ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਾਵੈ ॥੧॥
करै निंद सभ बिरथा जावै ॥१॥
Karæ ninḋ sabʰ birṫʰaa jaavæ. ||1||
but if he indulges in slander, then all of this is useless. ||1||
|
ਸਾਧ ਕਾ ਨਿੰਦਕੁ ਕੈਸੇ ਤਰੈ ॥
साध का निंदकु कैसे तरै ॥
Saaḋʰ kaa ninḋak kæsé ṫaræ.
How can the slanderer of the Holy Saints be saved?
|
ਸਰਪਰ ਜਾਨਹੁ ਨਰਕ ਹੀ ਪਰੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
सरपर जानहु नरक ही परै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Sarpar jaanhu narak hee paræ. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
Know for certain, that he shall go to hell. ||1||Pause||
|
ਜੇ ਓਹੁ ਗ੍ਰਹਨ ਕਰੈ ਕੁਲਖੇਤਿ ॥
जे ओहु ग्रहन करै कुलखेति ॥
Jé oh garahan karæ kulkʰéṫ.
Someone may bathe at Kuruk-shaytra during a solar eclipse,
|
ਅਰਪੈ ਨਾਰਿ ਸੀਗਾਰ ਸਮੇਤਿ ॥
अरपै नारि सीगार समेति ॥
Arpæ naar seegaar saméṫ.
and give his decorated wife in offering,
|
ਸਗਲੀ ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਸ੍ਰਵਨੀ ਸੁਨੈ ॥
सगली सिंम्रिति स्रवनी सुनै ॥
Saglee simriṫ sarvanee sunæ.
and listen to all the Smritis,
|
ਕਰੈ ਨਿੰਦ ਕਵਨੈ ਨਹੀ ਗੁਨੈ ॥੨॥
करै निंद कवनै नही गुनै ॥२॥
Karæ ninḋ kavnæ nahee gunæ. ||2||
but if he indulges in slander, these are of no account. ||2||
|
ਜੇ ਓਹੁ ਅਨਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦ ਕਰਾਵੈ ॥
जे ओहु अनिक प्रसाद करावै ॥
Jé oh anik parsaaḋ karaavæ.
Someone may give countless feasts,
|
ਭੂਮਿ ਦਾਨ ਸੋਭਾ ਮੰਡਪਿ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
भूमि दान सोभा मंडपि पावै ॥
Bʰoom ḋaan sobʰaa mandap paavæ.
and donate land, and build splendid buildings;
|
ਅਪਨਾ ਬਿਗਾਰਿ ਬਿਰਾਂਨਾ ਸਾਂਢੈ ॥
अपना बिगारि बिरांना सांढै ॥
Apnaa bigaar biraaⁿnaa saaⁿdʰæ.
he may neglect his own affairs to work for others,
|
ਕਰੈ ਨਿੰਦ ਬਹੁ ਜੋਨੀ ਹਾਂਢੈ ॥੩॥
करै निंद बहु जोनी हांढै ॥३॥
Karæ ninḋ baho jonee haaⁿdʰæ. ||3||
but if he indulges in slander, he shall wander in countless incarnations. ||3||
|
ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਹਾ ਕਰਹੁ ਸੰਸਾਰਾ ॥
निंदा कहा करहु संसारा ॥
Ninḋaa kahaa karahu sansaaraa.
Why do you indulge in slander, O people of the world?
|
ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕਾ ਪਰਗਟਿ ਪਾਹਾਰਾ ॥
निंदक का परगटि पाहारा ॥
Ninḋak kaa pargat paahaaraa.
The emptiness of the slanderer is soon exposed.
|
ਨਿੰਦਕੁ ਸੋਧਿ ਸਾਧਿ ਬੀਚਾਰਿਆ ॥
निंदकु सोधि साधि बीचारिआ ॥
Ninḋak soḋʰ saaḋʰ beechaari▫aa.
I have thought, and determined the fate of the slanderer.
|
ਕਹੁ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਪਾਪੀ ਨਰਕਿ ਸਿਧਾਰਿਆ ॥੪॥੨॥੧੧॥੭॥੨॥੪੯॥ ਜੋੜੁ ॥
कहु रविदास पापी नरकि सिधारिआ ॥४॥२॥११॥७॥२॥४९॥ जोड़ु ॥
Kaho Raviḋaas paapee narak siḋʰaari▫aa. ||4||2||11||7||2||49|| joṛ.
